Finding a touch of European romance in a venue can be hard to find stateside. One worth noting is hidden just an hour south of Portland, Oregon. Château de Michellia is a luxury french style chateau tucked away in a quiet residential area, the greenery opening up to a grand estate to behold. Surrounded by ten acres of lush landscape, the venue promises privacy and an unforgettable destination that will leave your guests in awe and delight.

The Chateau is fitted with stunning European decor, tones of gold and pastel frame the cream linens and light filled rooms.

Our inspiration for this styled shoot was fairytale romance like Taylor Swift’s iconic song, Enchanted. We chose a dusty lilac ballgown to suit the elegance of the venue to show that you don’t need to wear white as a bride, you just have to feel fabulous in what you choose to wear.

Atop the double staircase in the grand foyer, light pours in and dances with the crystal chandelier. Large window arches frame portraits beautifully as well as illuminate the marble floor below for an intimate reception brunch or dinner.

The tablescape we designed incorporated different pastel tones of pinks, lilacs and purple hues and touches of light blue. To balance the delicacy and old world charm, we found vintage crystal stemware and matching taper candles to bring height to the tablescape.

A matching bouquet compliments the tiered gown with a long chiffon ribbon. We recommend a black tie or formal dress code for your event to make the most of the stunning location in your portraits.

The garden terrace overlooks the grand formal garden. This is a beautiful area for sunset portraits since the balcony is a timeless stone design. Veils look especially magical with the golden hour sun peeking through the veil.
