MEET Iann

One of the questions I get asked most often is what to wear at a photoshoot. Especially when it comes to maternity photos, many women are wanting to celebrate their bodies and motherhood in a soft, ethereal way.

Below are some recommendations for flowy, dreamy, and flattering dresses and skirts that are perfect for soft natural light studio sessions or blossoming natural landscapes.

Baltic Born

I LOVE the color palettes and graceful draping of fabric in Baltic Born dresses. The clothing line was started by 3 sisters that wanted to dress women for all stages of life and not break the bank. A few favorite styles include the Lydia Maxi Dress , Victoria Off Shoulder Maxi Dress, and the Caroline Lace Off Shoulder Maxi Dress. You can get 15% off with my link here.

Morning Lavender

This online shop was created by a wedding photographer and fashion blogger. Each piece is curated by Kim Le Pham to showcase women who want to wear feminine pieces and sophisticated style at affordable prices.

Some favorite pieces that have beautiful flow include the Amelia Full Maxi Skirt, Cassidy Flowy Maxi Dress, and the Cathy Square Neck Long Sleeve Dress.

Rachel Pally

Los Angeles-based designer Rachel Pally is a mom of two that started her company right out of college (17 years ago!) Her mission is to dress women of all shapes and sizes and have them feel beautiful and empowered.

Favorites include the Rib Lauren Dress, Tessa Dress, Isa Dress, and the Long Caftan.

Nap Loungewear

Nap is a brand that prides itself on being a high-grade loungewear inspired by classic tailoring and soft draping. The soft silhouettes are created in skin-friendly fabrics for the modern woman.

Photo friendly styles include the Bunny Strap Dress, Oversized Boyfriend Shirt, Gypsy Puff Sleeve Dress, and the Baby Doll Bohemian Dress.

Hatch

Hatch is a company born in 2011 by Ariane Goldman with a chic and elevated look to each of the dresses. The timeless designs are meant to be enjoyed through every stage of your pregnancy while not compromising on comfort and style.

Recommendations for an elevated style during your photoshoot include the Cozy Waffle Dress, the Manon Cashmere Dress, the Pheobe Dress, the Harlow Dress, and the Fete Gown.
